Emile GASTEMANS [1883-1956] was born in Belgium, where he spent most of his life. He is considered to be one of the most prominent representatives of Belgian School of the 20th c. He painted mostly genre scenes, inspired by Gauguin. Gastemans left behind many drawings, watercolours, and paintings.
